Grow with Purpose
I’m an engineer turned product builder turned growth leader. In many ways, I’m an accidental marketer so I work from ‘first principles’. This means I approach any challenge or opportunity with an outside-in mindset - by deconstructing the ‘why’ to work back towards the ‘what’ and ‘how’.
Having built, rebuilt, grown, and transformed teams from 1 to 100 people at companies that are small, medium, and large, I balance a hypothesis-driven approach with urgency and intensity.
Ultimately, I’m a builder so I look at growth from a systems perspective - finding patterns and creating scaffolding that can become an effective and efficient repeatable system, at scale.
FAQs
How do you approach ‘GTM’, whether it’s marketing or growth in general?
I believe in working from First Principles. This means I don’t believe in ‘copy/paste’ marketing which simply borrows from ‘it worked at my last place so it’ll work here too’. This requires balancing universally true principles with designing growth levers that are tailored to the category and product dynamics. This also leverages my strengths in having built, led, and scaled a wide range of marketing teams across multiple stages (startup to public) as well as different GTM motions (Sales-led, Sales-assisted, and Self-serve PLG).
Do you specialize in a particular type of marketing discipline?
I’m a broad T-shaped marketer who enjoys working with companies with a variety of GTM motions - product-led, hybrid, as well as enterprise account-based motions. I grew up in product development so I have a natural inclination to start with ‘why’ your product matters in a new or existing category and ‘what’ types of levers are available to drive growth in any applicable motion. But having built full-stack marketing teams - spanning everything from product marketing, demand gen, operations, growth, brand/PR, field & events - I provide a complete perspective.
Do you work with startups in a specific stage (early/mid/late) or industry?
No, I purposely work with all kinds of startups at all stages and different types as well (vertical and horizontal SaaS). I believe that a diverse array of experiences are powerful because they allow you to cross-pollinate patterns through a broader perspective of the world and business growth.
What are your values and operating style?
I believe in purpose, mastery, and autonomy and look to collaborate with founders and investors who can balance the bigger strategic picture with a sense of urgency and hypothesis-driven action. I am open, honest, and direct.
How do you typically engage with founders, investors or CXOs?
I structure engagements by carving out dedicated time every week to work with companies. Typically, we will meet at least once a week in a live sync setting and then use async time to review and follow up across multiple work-streams.
